How the Speechma voice library is organized
A library of 1,700+ voices is only useful if you can find the right one in a few seconds. That’s why the AI voice library on Speechma is organized the way people actually search for a voice: first by language, then by country or accent, then by the character of the voice itself.
- Language: pick English, Spanish, Hindi, Japanese or any of the other 75+ languages and locales. Multilingual voices can read more than one language with the same timbre.
- Country and accent: the same language often comes in several regional versions. English alone includes US, UK, Australian, Canadian, Irish and Indian accents, and Spanish covers Spain as well as Latin American countries.
- Gender: each voice is labeled as male or female so you can narrow the list quickly when you already know what your script needs.
- Style: standard voices read anything in a clear, natural way, and some of them (such as Aria, Jenny, Guy, Sonia and Ryan) also offer a Speaking Style menu in Voice Effects with options like cheerful, sad, whispering or newscast. The Voice styles filter shows character voices built for a job, such as narrator, movie trailer, documentary, news anchor and storyteller styles.
- HD voices: six premium voices (Adam, Rowan, Marcus, Elliot, Felix and Orion) that sound extra natural. Look for names ending in HD, such as “Orion HD” or “Orion French HD”. They come in English, as Multilingual voices and in about 70 other languages, bringing the total to over 1,000 voice options. Pitch, speed and styles are not available for HD voices.
Once you know these four layers, choosing a voice stops being guesswork. A US-based YouTube creator, for example, can go straight to English → United States, listen to a handful of male or female voices, and be generating audio within a minute.
How to preview, filter and pick a voice
- Filter by language and countryOpen the voice list in the free text to speech tool above and choose a language, then a country, or type a name into the search box. The list shrinks to the voices that match.
- Preview before you commitPress the preview button next to any voice to hear a short sample. It costs nothing and plays instantly.
- Save your favoritesTap the star on voices you like, then use the Favorites button to show only your shortlist. Favorites are kept in your browser, so your go-to voices are one click away next time.
- Test with your own scriptPaste a real paragraph from your project (up to 2,000 characters), enter the 5-digit security code and generate. Your own words reveal more than any demo.
- Fine-tune and downloadAdjust pitch, speed and volume until it sounds right, then download the MP3, or use “download all” to grab every clip as a ZIP file.
