What happens to your video
Speechma sends your video to the AI, which listens to the speech, translates it, and speaks the translation with a natural voice in your chosen language. The new speech replaces the original speech, and you get the finished video back.
Your video is sent for processing only and is never stored on Speechma’s servers. Download the result when it is ready.
Tips for a translation that sounds natural
- Use a clean recording. One person, close to the mic, in a quiet room translates best. Music, wind and crosstalk make the speech harder to understand.
- Speak in full sentences. Clear, simple sentences translate more accurately than slang or run-on thoughts.
- Set the right source language. Picking the language actually spoken in the video gives the best result.
- Adjust the speed. Some languages need more words than English. If the dub feels rushed, choose 0.8x or 0.9x under More options.
- Have a fluent speaker check it. For medical, legal or safety content, ask a native speaker to watch the result before you publish.
- Only translate videos you have the right to use. Your own videos, or ones you have permission to dub.
Example: one coaching video, three audiences
A fitness coach in Texas records a 2-minute English tip about warming up before a run. In one sitting she:
- Uploads the MP4, sets the source language to English and Dub into to Spanish, leaves the voice on Automatic, and generates.
- Repeats for Portuguese (Brazil) and French.
- Uploads each version to YouTube with a translated title and description.
Her Spanish-speaking clients can now follow her tips without reading subtitles. For longer videos, dub each short chapter separately. More detail in our step-by-step dubbing guide.
Want your own voice for new scripts?
AI Dubbing uses natural native voices, not a copy of the speaker. To have your own voice read a brand-new script, use Voice Cloning: upload a clean short clip of your voice and type any text.
