Good audio used to require a studio, a voice actor, editing software and a budget. AI has changed that, but many of the best tools still sit behind accounts, trials and subscriptions. We believe a high school student making a science video, a nonprofit recording a fundraising appeal, or a shop owner narrating a product demo should have access to the same quality of voice technology as a large company.
So we built Speechma as an open door. No sign-up, no credit card, and commercial use of generated audio included. You bring the idea; Speechma’s AI does the heavy lifting.

How we keep Speechma free
Running AI voice technology costs real money, so it is fair to ask how a free service pays for itself. Here is the honest answer:
- Advertising. Some pages on Speechma show ads. They help cover the cost of every free conversion.
- SpeechmaPRO.com. SpeechmaPRO.com is our separate premium site: 10,000 characters per conversion, no captcha, no ads, no waiting and dark mode.
- The Speechma API. Developers who want our voices inside their own apps can use the Speechma API, with plans from $9/month (Starter: 1M characters per month) and an instant key.
People who pay for SpeechmaPRO.com or the API directly support the free tools that everyone else uses. We do not sell your uploads, and we do not need your personal details to let you create.
What we stand for
- Privacy by default. You do not need an account. Files you upload are processed and not stored on Speechma servers, and your results and history stay in your browser, even after a refresh, until you delete them. Read our Privacy Policy.
- Responsible AI. Voice technology is powerful. We ask everyone to clone only their own voice or voices they have clear permission to use, and never to impersonate, deceive or defraud. See our AI Voice & Cloning Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.
- Fair access. A 5-digit security code on each generation keeps bots from draining resources meant for real people.
- Clear rights. Commercial use of generated audio is included, as long as you own the rights to the text, recordings and videos you provide.
- Accessibility. Text to speech and speech to text are assistive technologies at heart. We aim to make Speechma usable for everyone; see our accessibility statement.
