How do I make a church announcement video with a voiceover?
Write the week’s announcements as a short, friendly script, paste it into Speechma, choose a warm voice and download the MP3. Then build simple slides in Canva, Google Slides or Keynote, add the audio, and export a video. Play it before service on your screens, in ProPresenter or your presentation software, and post it to your livestream, Facebook page or YouTube channel.
A recorded announcement video keeps service on time, sounds the same in every service and frees up your staff and volunteers. It is especially helpful for small churches without a dedicated media team, and for weeks when the usual announcer is away.

Which voice fits each church video?
| Video | Voice style | Settings |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly announcements | Warm, upbeat American voice | Normal speed |
| Christmas and Easter promos | Rich, joyful narrator | Slightly slow for the opening line |
| Kids and youth ministry | Bright, energetic voice | Slightly fast |
| Spanish-language service | US or Mexican Spanish voice | Write natively in Spanish |
| Scripture reading over slides | Calm, reverent voice | Slow; commas for breathing room |
| Countdown and pre-service loop | Friendly, relaxed voice | Normal; short lines |
Add a soft instrumental bed from the background music tools and keep it well below the voice.

Dos and don’ts for church voiceovers
- Do keep the same voice every week so the congregation recognizes it.
- Do include a clear next step: where to sign up, who to talk to, what to bring.
- Do make a Spanish version for bilingual congregations with a native Spanish voice.
- Don’t clone your pastor’s voice without their clear permission. If they agree, a short sample with Voice Cloning can voice announcements when they are traveling.
- Don’t cram in ten announcements. Put the rest in the bulletin or church app.
- Don’t play copyrighted worship songs under the voice unless your church has the right license.
Larger churches and church software
Media teams producing several videos a week can work without captcha or ads on SpeechmaPRO.com. Church app and software developers can add voice announcements with the Speechma API, from $9/month.
